Valentina Lisitsa, an American pianist born in the former USSR mostly known for her YouTube following, had her performances cancelled in April of 2015 by both the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (Canada) and the Toronto’s Lawrence Park Community Church (Canada) for her appalling public comments. Other city in Canada (Oakville) cancelled her performance too.

Ms. Lisitsa was allowed to perform in Calgary, Canada on June 5 & 6, 2015 despite various communities expressing their serious concerns over Ms. Lisitsa’s hateful and racist Twitter material. Both days  protests were held at the Jack Singer Hall where the concert was hosted by the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra to say no to hate and xenophobia promotion in Canada and beyond.

Valentina Lisitsa, est une pianiste Américaine, née en Ex-URSS. Elle est connue le plus pour ses vidéos sur YouTube. Au mois d’Avril 2015, à cause de ses publications pleines de haine et de racisme dans les réseaux sociaux – les présentations de Mme Lisitsa ont été annulées par l’Orchestre Symphonique de Toronto et la Cathédrale Communautaire Torontoise de Lawrence Park.
Plus tard, les concerts de Mme Lisitsa du 8 et 9 mai, dans une banlieue Torontoise d’Oakville, ont été également annulés, cette fois-ci, à cause d’insuffisance des billets vendus.

Malgré les protestes de plusieurs communautés à cause des ses Tweets haineux et racistes en continue, les concerts de Mme Lisistsa avec l’Orchestre Philarmonique de Calgary, ont eu lieu à Calgary, Canada, le 5 et 6 Juin 2015. Durant les deux jours des concerts de l’Orchestre Philarmonique de Calgary, les manifestations pacifiques ont eu lieu devant le Jack Singer Hall, pour dénoncer la haine, la xénophobie et le racisme au Canada et ailleurs dans le Monde.
